yesterday my kids, nieces and nephew were training for the olympics.  divers? gymnasts?  who knows :)

t-ball

this year i am the proud mama of two t-ball players.  for this one year jack and will are teammates.  i hope in the future they will be again.  for now we will enjoy this season.  jack and my nephew ty (who plays in nc) are the same number-7.  jack thinks it's pretty cool.  will is #4 which he loves simply because he's 4!

we've got mail

i brought the mail in today.  annie asked if she got a letter.  i thumbed through the envelopes and handed her a brightly colored one and walked out.  a few minutes later jordan told me to grab the camera and look back in the playroom.......

couldn't help but laugh!  happy tuesday :)

choose joy

looking for a little inspiration?  a few weeks ago i stumbled upon this site- lil blue boo.  i was reading a tutorial on how to sew a little skirt for annie.

 this site has lots of interesting sections- not just sewing.  so, i decided to stay and look around for a bit.   after a little reading i ordered a pack of bracelets.  because in my life, i choose joy. 

having a brother

i have two sisters.  i don't know that i ever even wanted a brother.  i'm a little sad that anna michael won't experience the kind of relationship sisters share.  some days i can tell she feels a little left out from the boys.  she doesn't always want to play super heroes and they don't ever want to play dolls.  watching my two youngest play today reminded me that she is so lucky to have big brothers.   maybe having a brother isn't so bad.....

snow day

we woke up this morning to a snowy scene:

school was cancelled- our first snow day!!!  jordan does much better than i do on snow days.  unfortunately for the kids he had to go to work.  i knew it wouldn't be fair to the kids to stay inside and enjoy the snow from the window :)  so we bundled ourselves up.....

and headed over to play with their cousins.  snow days are always more fun with friends.  i tried to convince jack that we could share their sleds.......he wasn't interested in that.  so i walked to our shed and loaded our two sleds into my car.  sled number two rode right beside me...awesome.

 when i looked back at the boys- i knew this was all worth it!

after a quick drive over we had some fun:
