was this a good idea??

yesterday i got to babysit anna michael's very best friend, cole.  he's my nephew and he's adorable.  anna michael is just six days older than him.  when he got in our car annie said, "hey buddy, how awe (are) you?"  how cute is that?

i wanted to be super fun, so i pulled out play- doh for this set of 22 month old little ones......good idea?  see for yourself:

i wish that shadow was gone.  i love this picture.  and yes, i did make that skirt am is wearing :)

they were feeding the puppy play-doh.  they tried to feed max, the real puppy play-doh too!

and yes, she fed it to herself....

i did warn her that it was yucky......she doesn't always listen!

this sweet face did listen.  he snacked on goldfish!

bugga buggas

charis's mom says she's totally into bugs right now.  she calls them "bugga buggas." clearly this is the perfect theme for her second birthday party.  i was so excited to work on her second birthday party- here is a look back at her first birthday :)

and a sneak peak at her second:

she's growing

my girl is getting big.  no matter what i do every day she gets a little bigger, a little smarter and a little funnier.  she is something.  this girl has mastered sassy- yet at the same time is the sweetest girl in the world.  she has her brothers wrapped- because no matter what she does to them, she knows they melt when she says, "i y-ove eww."

we gave most of her baby clothes to her sweet cousin drew.  today i pulled out a few that i saved.  it was hard not to cry. ok, so maybe i did cry....just a little :)
she said, "annie-girl wear baby c-othes." yes, at times she calls herself annie-girl.  it's what her daddy calls her.

she kept saying "too tight."
 these are from the weekend.

i love that she's mine.  happy fall!

very hungry caterpillar-ish

jack's teacher asked if i would help with their school's fundraiser.  each class decorates a flower pot to be auctioned at the fall carnival.  the students had just learned about the life cycle of a caterpillar.  i figured i would gather my inspiration from eric carle and the very hungry caterpillar.

here's what i came up with:
i painted the children's palms as the caterpillar body.
i wrote each name in pencil as we went, then later went back with a marker.

they eyes and nose were made with little finger prints

i made these dots with a pencil eraser.......as i watched 2 hours of general hospital...that took a while!

my little helper's hand :)

the class did great!  i think i may buy it at the auction!
