will's best buddy loves mario. his mama put together a precious mario party for his 4th birthday. i don't have any "mario" images- so i was only able to help with the banner and stars.  she was able to find the adorable images to add to the stars. 

his mama made chocolate mustaches for all of the kids!!

happy valentine's day

in the morning my kids will wake up to this. 

no, the place mats are not new, and i didn't make them.  my very dear friend jasmine bought these over the years for them.  (they are from em tanner designs)  super adorable!  we love them and jasmine too:)  inside the gift bags are tiny presents.  we'll have cereal and fruit before school.  that's it- nothing spectacular.  but i know that walking downstairs to the island set up just for them with these leftover paper products is going to make them feel loved.  they will know that this day special and that they are loved.  and they really, really are.  so- before you go to bed- do something, even something really small to let someone in your house know they are loved.  happy valentine's day.  xoxo

bee my valentine

last night we hosted a valentine party themed "bee mine."  i almost recreated last year's theme valentine rocks - because i still think love rocks.  but i wanted to switch it up a bit.  if you would have peeked in our window last night- this is what you would've seen:

drink station.  we had breakfast for dinner- so we had mimosas and bloody marys.

we also had water, lemonade and orange juice.

this picture would have been much prettier had the drinks been in the glasses :)

desserts: cupcakes, oreo truffles, chocolate covered strawberries, valentine's bark, white chocolate covered marshmallows, heart shaped rick krispie treats.  one guest also made really yummy chocolate covered pretzel rods- not in the picture.

we did a valentine exchange for the kids.  each child had his/her own mailbox.  i would have loved this part when i was little. 

we also played bingo!

and we used sweethearts as our game pieces!  it was very hard for the kids not to eat them :)

it was a really fun night.  my favorite part was watching the kids open their valentine cards.  it's always so sweet to see.  hope you all have a wonderful valentine's day.  bee mine.

valentine's day is on it's way

here's what we've been doing.....

jack has always loved the guitar.  this year he's started lessons.  he decided on guitar themed valentines.  we are adding a sucker when he's all finished writing.

i typed will's valentine message:  I like to "play" with you at school.

i'll attach it to the play-doh later :)
