easter #2

clearly in our family we like to have multiple holiday celebrations :) this week we had an easter cookout at jordan's parents house.  grammy & papa set up a few really fun activities for the little ones.    i must say- the first one would be fun for any age!

this game started with a big bulls eye.........then the kids were give raw eggs......can you see where this is going?

notice how will is dressed for halloween?  within about ten minutes of seeing each other, will and tyler turned into transformers :)  aren't cousins great?

doesn't that look like fun!  except for the person who has to clean it up :)  if the 8 of these kids egg houses in high school- i'm sending them back to grammy and papa! 

the next activity used these beautifully decorated eggs.  they were hollowed out, colored then filled with confetti.  finally grammy glued tissue paper to seal the tops of the eggs!  the kids got to "crack" the eggs on their daddy and uncles  heads!

and like most easter celebrations- the kids were treated to an egg hunt.

once the hunt was over- cole and anna michael drove around sharing jelly beans.   happy easter!

easter #1

this weekend we celebrated easter early with my dad.  as soon as we got to his house we were greeted with my favorite bunny cake!  (here is last years bunny)   chocolate cake is always the best way to start the weekend.

we visited the Smithsonian national air and space museum while we were in town.  the kids loved seeing all of the airplanes as much as we did. 

we even got to play at the park with grandpa-

we've got mail

i brought the mail in today.  annie asked if she got a letter.  i thumbed through the envelopes and handed her a brightly colored one and walked out.  a few minutes later jordan told me to grab the camera and look back in the playroom.......

couldn't help but laugh!  happy tuesday :)

i'm sure the leprechaun will do some other sneaky things while we are asleep tonight :) 
in the morning the kids will wake up to this little surprise:
