mario party

will's best buddy loves mario. his mama put together a precious mario party for his 4th birthday. i don't have any "mario" images- so i was only able to help with the banner and stars.  she was able to find the adorable images to add to the stars. 

his mama made chocolate mustaches for all of the kids!!

i was asked to make a banner for a little one's first birthday.  her mama choose purple, pink and red- great colors!!  i also make my first cake topper for the order!

 this morning- jack lost his 2nd tooth!   i was getting ready to help brush his teeth when he asked if i thought it was loose enough to come out.  i don't do wiggly teeth.  so without looking i said we should give it a few more days.    i grabbed the toothbrush out of his mouth to put toothpaste on it when i hear, "mommy, why did you do that?"  i looked up to see his tooth in his hand!  WHOOPS!  i guess it was ready after all!

ugly sweater party

my sister-in-law and brother-in-law hosted an ugly sweater christmas party.  the party was planned for december, but had to be rescheduled for this past saturday.  yes, january 7th- a christmas party.....how awesome is that? 
it started with these invitations from tiny prints:

it's hard to shop for "ugly sweater" decorations, so i made a few little things to add to the festivities.

i forgot to take pictures of the food tables....but just believe me when i say it was very pretty and very yummy :)  now to the best room of the party:

sadly, frosty is from my back porch.  my kids love him and after this party i have a feeling some other people might get a frosty for their own homes!

the party was so much fun.  too much fun really.  i think it's going to be an annual thing.....in january, because we all decided the date adds to the "tacky" theme so well.
