they go together like cookies and milk

anna michael and cole are cousins born 6 days apart. they are pals- like cookies and milk. here are a few pictures of their 1st birthday party

cole's big sisters made the cupcakes :)

.  happy 1st birthday little ones.

anna michael also had a winter one-derland party when we were out of town.....stay tuned for that pretty little party.

i would love to recreate a cookies and milk party for you.  i think it would make a precious baby shower theme too!

ok, so it's a little late

my computer was broken for a few weeks.  sorry.  just think of this as getting ready for next christmas!  we made reindeer food for jack's friends at preschool.  my niece kate made some for her pals too!

 here's what you need:

oatmeal, sugar, glitter and glass jars

attach this little note to each jar!  super easy craft that little hands can do themselves!  hope you all had a very merry christmas!  -stephanie

pine cone crafts

we do this craft in stages.  it makes for a whole day of fun!

step 1:  bundle up for a wild adventure.  that's right- we go on lots of adventures at our house.  this day we were looking for signs of fall.  we jumped in the crunchy leaves, talked about the pool being covered-bummer, will learned the hard way that flip flops are just better in the summer......yea, we learned a lot about the fall.  our best discovery were all of the pine cones on the ground.  we gathered them up and brought them inside.

step 2:  clean up the pine cones a little.  ours were a little dirty- we just brushed them off.

step 3: "paint" the pine cones with glue

step 4: cover with glitter

yes, i really love will....who really loves glitter.  now i bet you're thinking- what in the world am i going to do with all of these pine cones? well, we have some in a basket for decoration. we attached some to ribbon and hung them on the tree.  we even used a few to top christmas gifts.

the reason i love this craft so much is that they love it so much.  using glitter makes my kids think they are making something extra special.  you can have hours of fun for like 5 bucks too :)

we're off to make our annual gingerbread houses!  i hope you are enjoying all of your favorite holiday traditions this year too.

polar express

this custom order is a particular favorite of mine- because i love Christmas oh so much.  the polar express is headed to georgia!  an old friend of jordan's contacted me to help with her neighborhood party.  it sounds adorable.  the neighborhood friends will gather for a cookie exchange.  each child will fill their bag with cookies, grab a cup of hot cocoa and a "believers bell" and hop on a hay ride through the 'hood to look at the lights.....super fun.  i want to live in that neighborhood, don't you?  here are the little touches i made to help!

these personalized tags will go on the cookie bags
i think my boys and i will be reading the polar express tonight!

because it's the most wonderful time of the year- here's another giveaway!  let me know your favorite christmas book- and you could win another set of christmas tags!  winner will be drawn by my sweet friend kristen on friday morning!  she's coming into town today- it's like christmas coming early for me!
