yesterday i spent some time working on a favorite hobby of mine....spray painting. it always makes me happy. it's amazing what a burst of color can do for your mood. i had two wooden chairs for anna michael that were in need of a little love. i decided to paint the booster seat green to match the dinning room and a rocker pink for her room. when she came outside to look at her chairs she said and i quote, "dat not pink. dat my chair but it not pink. i want pink, it my favorite." this kid is too funny.

spa party
here is the party for a girly girl.
anna michael was so kindly invited to our friend's 6th birthday party. all of the guests were between 5-7 years old except annie. she talked about going to the "big girl" party for days. it was pink and perfect. here is a little view of what my girl got to experience:

personalized hand towels for each girl. i simply sewed a ruffle onto a washcloth- and used an iron on letter for each. |
these were the favor bags from michaels. we added non-sew flowers to fit the theme! super simple and cute! |
the girls filled their bags with these favors- flip flops, nail kits, eye masks and pink loofahs. |
raygan's mama bought inexpensive flip flops from walmart. she and i tied ribbons to the toes- that's it! and look how sweet they look. you could do this to all of your flops! |
the "spa menu" was one of my favorite parts. she did a great job of making the girls feel so fancy and grown up! |
the party started with a quick relaxing dip in the hot tub. here is little miss afterwards. |
you know you're at a good spot when they deliver snacks! |
getting ready for the avocado/yogurt facial. |
my niece kate has this relaxing spa thing down. annie on the other hand decided she'd use this time for snacking. |
pedicures..... |
and manicures.... |
