i have been trying desperately to soak in these last weeks of summer. last night we went to our friends house for a very yummy dinner. we brought dessert. super simple, super summer. semi-homemade ice cream sandwiches. i made break and bake cookies- chocolate chip and sugar. if you have the time to bake your own cookies i am sure that would be fantastic as well. once the cookies have cooled, take a small scoop of ice cream and smooch them together. yes, it's that simple. i like to wrap them individually and refreeze them until time to serve. if you're really feeling festive, it's cute to roll the edges in holiday sprinkles too! please do yourself a favor an make a batch of these. you'll be glad you did!
