after looking at my pictures i figured i would just direct you
here, where my sister captured jack's 5th birthday party best, as she always does. yes, he's 5 and fantastic. about a week before his birthday he asked if i would be able to hold him up when he turned 5. i'll always hold you my little love. 5 looks good on my jack. surf's up dude!
a few things about the party: jack loves oreo cookies. he decided he wanted oreo's and ice cream instead of cupcakes. i decided to buy the cookie pan from
williams sonoma. it was super easy, cake popped right out. if you decide to buy it yourself, let me suggest that you use their cake recipe. i didn't- therefore my cake was light brown and didn't look very oreo-ish.
we had a pool party, but since i know all kids don't love swimming we had a few easy activities. along with the usual water balloons and pinata we had a sand art craft. we got cardboard cut outs of sea shells and had the kids paint them with glue. then they sprinkled different colors of sand onto the shells. it was an easy little keepsake from the party that turned out pretty cute.
it was a great day. thank you to all of those who made it extra special for my
little big guy.
happy birthday jack, my biggest boy.
