step 1: bundle up for a wild adventure. that's right- we go on lots of adventures at our house. this day we were looking for signs of fall. we jumped in the crunchy leaves, talked about the pool being covered-bummer, will learned the hard way that flip flops are just better in the summer......yea, we learned a lot about the fall. our best discovery were all of the pine cones on the ground. we gathered them up and brought them inside.
step 2: clean up the pine cones a little. ours were a little dirty- we just brushed them off.
step 3: "paint" the pine cones with glue
step 4: cover with glitter
yes, i really love will....who really loves glitter. now i bet you're thinking- what in the world am i going to do with all of these pine cones? well, we have some in a basket for decoration. we attached some to ribbon and hung them on the tree. we even used a few to top christmas gifts.
the reason i love this craft so much is that they love it so much. using glitter makes my kids think they are making something extra special. you can have hours of fun for like 5 bucks too :)
we're off to make our annual gingerbread houses! i hope you are enjoying all of your favorite holiday traditions this year too.
