birthday GIVEAWAY :)

birthdays.  i love them.  i remember little bits of my birthday parties over the years.......one year my cousin amanda put her finger in my strawberry short cake shaped cake before i blew out the candles- i was not a happy girl.   2nd grade started on my birthday but i was too shy to tell the teacher-bummer!  my 21st included a limo ride with my best friends.  one year jenne (my college roommate and still best friend) filled our dorm room with balloons.  i'm serious- you could barely walk through it- how awesome is that?  this year sweet friends of ours hosted a murder mystery birthday dinner for me....i was "crystaline daniels." it was fantastic!  lets just say there was a lot of karaoke singing long into the night!

as you can see, totally love my birthday.  so- to keep this celebration going- i'm doing a GIVEAWAY!!

in order to enter, i need you to let me know your favorite or funny birthday memory!  on tuesday- jack's birthday, i will let him draw the winner.  the lucky winner will get one of these fall dish towels!  can't wait to hear all about your birthdays!!

  1. My most vivid (not a favorite or funny...did I already fail the assignment?) birthday memory is of my 8th birthday. I HAD to have a pizza party, talked about it for months. The pizza party came and went and the evening ended with one of the only times I have ever had food poisoning. GRODY to the MAX!

  3. my mom made me a care bear cake..it was the purple bear and I thought she was the greatest artist/baker ever! i remember all my friends (i think I was 6) talking about it and thinking I was very special on my birthday :) I find it funny so many of us remember the cakes..maybe a note to myself that I should spend more time on cakes for my kids parties!!! :) happy birthday stephanie & jack!

  4. Justin was like 5 yrs old and insisted we go to McDonalds for my birthday dinner. It was the one in Washington Mills with the playland. Of course we had to sit in playland and eat and he wanted me to play with him in the playland. Whats a party at McDonalds without a Ronald McDonald cake??? Yep...Uncle Jimmy and Justin had them bring out the cake and sing Happy Birthday!!! The look on all of the little kids in there was priceless!! Justin and Uncle Jimmy were beaming!! Aunt Darlene

  5. My mom always made birthday parties so special. My favorite was my 9th birthday. I had a slumber party. My parents bought me a new Pound Puppies sleeping bag for the party and we stayed up "late" playing silly games and eating yummy treats. It was awesome!
