4th annual gingerbread party

today we attended grammy's 4th annual gingerbread house party.  (i think that's right- jack did the first one when he was two.)  it's like the kids walk into their own little paradise.  grammy does it right every year.  it seems the tradition gets sweeter with time.  this morning my kids and their cousins walked into see this:

each kid had his/her own tray, house, frosting and candy.

each family had their own tree.

before we started aunt caryn was getting annie's sugar.

our new 2 year olds!  anna michael turned 2 yesterday and cole turns 2 christmas eve.  they celebrated their birthdays this weekend.....those pictures will come later in the week.

time to start the fun!!

aunt sharyn and finn

it's so funny the difference between the girls and boys.  the girls planned theirs out- the boys tried to stick as much candy as possible to their houses.

kate was totally focused on her house!

tyler let me pipe the frosting on his roof.  then said, "aunt steph, i can do the rest."
obviously he didn't trust my judgement on candy placement :)

finn totally liked the peep.

will asked for me to post this picture of his house :)

miss olivia is 7.  she took such care choosing which candy should go in which spot.  her house is beautiful.
towards the end i find this little sneaky pete "cleaning" the floor.
thank you grammy for another wonderful gingerbread party.  my kids look so forward to this day.  it's such a special time for the kids to get together.  i didn't make gingerbread houses as a kid....but i am SO glad my little ones get to experience the fun.  this is one of my favorite christmas traditions.  thanks grammy!
