our mountain weekend

i started college in 1997.  within  a few months i had met some of my very best friends.  these girls are family.  it used to be the seven of us.......but over the years we've grown.......five husbands, one fiance, two baby boys and five baby girls- and i'm sure over the years we'll add more.

this past weekend all my girls and their families got together for a mountain weekend. it was an early christmas gift for us.  we had a little bit of fun:)

the last time these two had been together was a year ago.  as soon as grace walked in the door she and anna michael were running together as if they did it all of the time.  we found them on the bed, grace was reading to annie.
i held grace as an infant the day i found out i was pregnant with anna michael- makes me smile when they play.

"auntie amanda" and the littlest one, sweet emerson.

jenne and i
kristen, kerri, amanda and me

the weekend was full of hugs.

our annual ornament exchange- it was so great to do it in person.  usually we mail them.

saturday morning- our "mini-me's" were playing together.  anna michael, will and jack were all smitten with emerson.

we dressed the little ones up and paraded around singing carols.

kate is only three but totally her mother's daughter.  i mean check out her accessories.  she also explained to jordan what a tunic is.....hysterical.

i've known mickey for as long as i have known the girls.
so this picture warms my heart as he helps my guy make a gingerbread house.

lyla- she should be in a magazine with all of her cuteness.

dear emerson,  thank you and your parents for allowing my children to treat you like a baby doll.  love, me.

will 4, grace 2 1/2, anna michael- almost 2, emerson 5 months, kate 3, lyla 1, jack 6

these two are getting married next fall!!  they live in london so we don't see them as often as we'd like.  we surprised them with a little shower saturday night.

before the party could start we made them change clothes....ugly christmas sweaters!!!!!

yes, that's right- we all wore them!

i really loved this weekend.  it was the perfect way to start the christmas season.  i am so blessed to have such wonderful friends.  merry christmas.
